What is a Botanical Tincture?

A botanical tincture is a concentrated liquid herbal extract traditionally made by steeping herbs in alcohol and water to draw out and preserve the plant’s naturally occurring compounds. Alcohol-free herbal extracts may instead use vegetable glycerin, vinegar, and oils as the extracting liquid.
